IDPH announced that it will be conducting a 3-dayNFPA 101 Life Safety Code Training Seminar in Springfield May 16 - 18, 2017 to address recently enacted changes in Medicare requirements under the 2012 edition of NFPA 101 Life-Safety standards.
The event is free of charge to healthcare providers as the cost is underwritten by fees paid by providers but registration is required. Attendees are responsible for their own travel and lodging arrangements. The program will be held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel on Dirksen Parkway in Springfield and will run from 8:00 AM on Tuesday May 16th and end at 4:45 PM on Thursday, May 18th. Training materials and books will be provided.
Some changes in Medicare requirements will apply to all existing facilities while others will apply only to new construction or renovation projects taking place after Nov 2017.
The training program is open to all hospital, ASC and nursing home facilities in Illinois but space is limited to 45 attendees. ASCAI will send a representative but each ASC and/or your architect or facility management agent should plan to attend this detailed and informative training program. Space is limited.
